Have you ever loved someone?
It’s not the love that involves a ring,
It involves a true friendship.
Having to love someone so much
That you cried all night long
When you found out that she’s leaving
Though she had known you
For not even a year,
But you felt her closer
Than those who you’ve known for so long
Even closer than your family
It felt like you can’t live without her.
There’s a choice you need to make between
Making her to stay so that you’re happy
But she’ll suffer
Or letting her go so that she’s happy
But you’ll suffer even worse.
It seems that acting like you’re fine
With her leaving you was the right decision.
Having to cry every night
And hiding those tears from her are found very hard
But if you cared about her so much
You will drown yourself just to see her smile.
And when she’s gone,
Things will never be the same
Cause a true friendship is one in a billion.
Crying and drowning in tears
Are the sacrifices you have to make to give her a better life.
I made this poem for a friend of mine a day before she left me. That's about a few months ago. I've posted it on FB. But I'm pretty sure she didn't know about it. She have a lot of other things to do than to look at my notes.
